In 1980, at the Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdańsk Barbara Sass was awarded for directing debut and Dorota Stalińska as an actress in a Leading Role.
The film is a specific analysis of female character – a personal failure triggers hatred towards the world.
The main character – a young journalist – Ewa Bracka, driven by exorbitant ambition and determined to make a fast career would not mind literally walking over dead bodies to attain her goal. She is ready to sacrifice a lot, put others in danger, act unethically and disregard the opinions of her surroundings. She deals with all the difficulties and troubles in her own peculiar brutal style. Her self-reflection and attempt to change at the end of the film is contrasted by the indifference of the person she abused.
The film’s great advantage is music made and performed by Seweryn Krajewski.
