A war film showing relations within the Polish resistance movement. It outlines different and frequently contradictory expectations and visions of independence, presented from the perspective of the People’s Army and the Home Army. Fast-paced and dynamic action typical of action films.
Russian troops enter the occupied Polish territories, supported by the increasingly active resistance movement. Troops of the Home Army, People’s Army and Peasants’ Battalions fight for independence, in particular in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. The People’s Army unit under the command of lieutenant Kołacz receives an order to transfer a party delegate to Chełmno. Unfortunately the delegate is arrested and the partisans prepare a recapture plan. Eventually they find the wounded captive in a blown up train and manage to transport him behind the front line. The fight for liberation of Poland is getting fiercer every day.
