The film is an attempt to create a Polish melodrama and show sexual relations as the main driving force of the plot, revealing the subsequent stages of a love affair: infatuation, discouragement and mutual dependency. One of the scenes is accompanied by Barbara Brylska’s song "Jestem cała w twoich rękach".
We see a great spectrum of love, from the first pure fascination to existence void of any emotions. The entire film is based on a simple and general message, which is confirmed by the main characters’ names: Adam and Eva. They are in their thirties. He’s an architect and she’s an artist who meet at a party. The plot lightly combines entertainment and morality. The film’s asset is showing everyday life in Wrocław. Taking into consideration the picture was made in the 70s, it contains quite many bold sex scenes.
