The film, conveying strong feminist values, tells the story of an uncompromising young woman who fights for the right to decide about her future and rejects the role of a wife and mother imposed upon her by the surroundings.

Magda, a law student, was in a relationship with a sailor - Michał, who set off on a long cruise and left her for four years. After his return, the man tries to win back her love. The woman cannot trust him despite their past and a child. Magda enters into a relationship with a calm and responsible Adam, however Michał still interferes with her life. Torn between two men, the character chooses the third way: she leaves, taking her son.
