The feature film debut of the popular director Ryszard Bera.

The film shines in accurate social observations and a well-crafted portrait of the Polish sport environment. The film also has a great cast with names like Jerzy Turek, Kalina Jędrusik, Wojciech Siemion, Jan Kobuszewski czy Maciej Damięcki.

Story I

Antoni Krawczyk is a reserve goalkeeper of a popular soccer club. He dreams of playing in the main line-up, hoping he has hidden talent that will make him a star. When he gets his chance, he is overwhelmed by pressure and expectations.

Story II

Hanka Morawska and Piotr Wolski are a pair of athletes in love. Their life is controlled by fanatic, conflicted trainers and is completely subjugated to training. As a result, the young pair almost don’t see each other – they can only spend time together during competitions in which they’re both participating

Story III

A country town is preparing for a big celebration: the last stage of the bicycle race. Unexpectedly, the inconspicuous Adam Bobek, a boy from the town wins the race. The authorities decide to take advantage of their fellow paisano for their own purposes, but the hero won’t let them.
