Ika and Groszek are two kids living in a Warsaw tenement house. Their life changes when one of the neighbors buys an old, beat-up car – an Opel Kapitan. The main characters find out that the vehicle is a self-conscious being and can talk, just like many other seemingly lifeless objects such as telephones or radios. With their help, Ika and Groszek save a kidnapped boy and a plane lost in the Sahara Desert. However, the most difficult challenge is still ahead of them – they have to prove to representatives of an alien civilization that the Earth’s inhabitants are capable of peaceful coexistence.
The roles of TV presenters were played by actual TVP (Polish television) presenters - Jan Suzin and Edyta Wojtczak.
