A propaganda film made by the students of the Łódź Film School as a reply to the call for action issued by the Union of Polish Youth trying to encourage the young people to compete at work and undertake new obligations. “Trzy opowieści” was a feature debut for quite a numerous group of students of the Łódź Film School: the film directors Ewa and Czesław Petelski and Konrad Nałęcki, for the cinematographers: Jerzy Lipman, Stefan Matyjaszkiewicz, Czesław Świrta and Zbigniew Czajkowski as well as for such actors as: Bogumił Kobiela, Tomasz Zaliwski or Roman Kłosowski. The screenplay was based to a large extent on documentation collected among members of the organization Służba Polsce.
