In non-distant future, electronic corporations have built a “nonlinear” – an android theoretically capable of replacing a human being. To verify this information, UNESCO organizes a mission to Saturn during which highly reputed pilot Pirx is supposed to evaluate “nonlinears” for use in space service. He knows one of the crew members is a robot, but he doesn’t know which one. During the expedition, he tries to find out the truth while playing a dangerous game with his secret opponent. It turns out that the “nonlinear” is a threat to the whole crew. Pirx discovers that its perfection can only be challenged by human weakness.
The film was screened in Poland in dubbed version.
