A social drama about insufficient and over-protective parenting.
Romek is an unwanted child raised by a single mother who doesn’t care about him. Left without care for entire days, he has to take care of the farm. He’s irritable and shy. Janusz is the apple of his mother’s eye. He’s smart and resourceful, he quickly get Romek to follow his orders. He cons him into stealing windshield wipers. They’re caught and tried by a juvenile court. Janusz and his mother blame Romek. Romek’s mother wants him sent to an orphanage. Romek waits in vain, but his mother doesn’t even send him a letter. In despair, he escapes and wounds a teacher with a stolen rifle.
