The film features a lyric song “To miał być żart” with the lyrics written by Andrzej Bianusz and the music composed by Jerzy Matuszkiewicz, performed by Krystyna Konarska, a singer popular in the 60s.

After another lost match the football team “Naprzód” may drop to a lower league. Its fate is to be decided by a match with “Sparta”. Activists and fanatic football fans of “Naprzód” want to make sure the team wins by all means. Having failed to buy the match result, they focus on the best player of “Sparta” – Grzegorz Walczak. The president Kożuszek persuades the beautiful Gabrysia to seduce the footballer. His plan falls to pieces when the girl falls in love with Grzegorz who plays in the other team. Desperate football fans resort to a highly risky plan. A day before the match they kidnap Walczak and take him to a hiding place in the forest. “Sparta” has to play without its best player.
