She is accompanied by Detlev and Unkas, young men, members of Wehrwolf – Hitler’s organization. All three in monastic attire are returning to Germany with gravely ill Erich who cannot accept his country’s surrender. They find refuge in one farm. The own name is Habiger and he lives with his daughter Ulryka. Salome’s companions kill an unexpected guest – sergeant Łasica and later torture Habiger. They get drunk and flirt with Tylda.
