When it turns out the relative is gone, the lead character is adopted by two friends – Florek the cab driver and Bogdan the doctor. She quickly gains their sympathy and wins their hearts. Her presence leads to many troublesome situations, because although her guardians treat her as a child, Krysia looks like an attractive young woman from the outside… The girl soon has a suitor – Jurek, a handsome brother of one of her school friends. The relationship makes her aware that she has true feelings for the much older Bogdan. Krysia decides she wants her guardian to notice her as a woman.
