The difficult process of forming a new community on the Recovered Territories after the war.
The year 1945. Repatriates settle down on the Recovered Territories supervised by soldiers from the Polish People’s Army. Capital Sowiński operates in one of the villages in Lower Silesia. He organizes the life of the repatriates and solves conflicts between the newcomers and the locals. The newcomers perceive the locals as Germans, even if they have fought for the Polish Silesia for years as the Rutka’s family. After someone informs them that Rutka has a weapon, he’s arrested by the Security Office. Sowiński intervenes and Rutka is set free, but he’s afraid to stay in Poland and goes to Germany. Repatriates try to take over a farm of Silesian people. Tensions and conflicts help gangs and looters roam free.
