Return of the Wolf

(Powrót wilczycy)

1990   >   horror/ drama

An atmosphere of horror escalating with the growing number of victims of a werewolf, a man turned into a beast. Sticking closely to the convention of the genre, it is a film in which young women are murdered by an evil force materialized as a werewolf. The action takes place in the palace in which the Countess was killed with a silver bullet in the film “Wilczyca”.

A decadent poet and painter, Kamil, lives a full life. Despite the upcoming wedding with Krystyna, he hangs out with his friends, has a love affair with a model, takes drugs. Invited by the painter’s cousin, Stefania, the newlyweds arrive at the palace of Countess Julia, the woman who was shot with a silver bullet. When a violent storm passes over the palace, the family tomb gets smashed and the servant finds a strange skull. Then at night Krystyna sees the face of a werewolf. She is in shock. When she goes to take a bath, she is drowned by the werewolf. His next victim is the governess, Ewelina. Kamil asks Stefania to come at night to a nearby cottage, but the girl falls into a pond. In the cottage instead of Stefania there appears Anna. Kamil is horrified when he sees her growing a dense fur and changing into a werewolf. He takes a gun and shoots. After that he sees Anna on the bed with a bullet in her head. The cottage bursts into flame. The servant brings Stefania’s body to the palace. They find a skull in the ashes.
