A remarkable story of three boys fascinated with history who by accident travel in time.
The action takes place in the 1960s. A 17-year-old Franek, 14-year-old Andrzej and five-year-old Jacek spend a holiday near an old Teutonic castle. The boys decide to secretly explore the vaults of the fortress and are unexpectedly transported in time to 1406. They are captured by the Knights of the Teutonic Order and recognized as sorcerers. With the use of modern-day objects they manage to escape and reach the court of Prince Janusz Mazowiecki in Ciechanów. They meet characters known to them from the novels of Henryk Sienkiewicz. The boys gain the attention of the prince and court by demonstrating to them the 20th-century inventions, games and plays. However, the Teutonic Knights do not give up. They demand the release of the fugitives, threatening to wage war.
Outdoor shoots were taken at the castle in Lidzbark Warmiński.
