Mr. Anatol Seeks a Million

(Pan Anatol szuka miliona)

1959   >   criminal comedy

The second part of the incredibly popular trilogy about Mr Anatol’s adventures.

A superb performance by Tadeusz Fijewski.

A comedy of errors, in which an inconspicuous character proves to have an incredible tendency to get unwittingly involved in different criminal affairs.

A pretty student Iwona wins a million zloties in the lottery. The unexpected wealth makes her an interesting target for a group of thieves. Iwona is kidnapped and the coupon entitling her to collect the award gets lost. Mr Anatol gets entwined in the crazy events. He finds the coupon and wants to give it back to its rightful owner. After a series of chases, escapes and errors the bandits are arrested and the million zloties – totally accidentally – lands in the hands of Iwona’s grandmother.
