Maria and Karol’s marriage is going through a crisis due to Maria’s infertility. Having lost the hope to have her own child Maria arranges a romance between her husband and a young, attractive Hanka, a single mother of a small baby boy. When Hanka gets pregnant Maria tries to persuade her to give her the baby after birth. Her plan ends in a disaster – Hanka refuses and Karol abandons his wife to be with the pregnant lover. With nothing to lose Maria decides to make a desperate move…
