A psychological drama about a man's responsibility to himself and others.

Prosecutor Deruga starts working in a small town. He left the capital as a consequence of a recent family tragedy. Although it is Sunday, his deputy urges him to immediately arrest Markowski, who heads the local factory, on account of a multimillion fraud. The prosecutor meets a young girl called Magda. They take a liking to each other. Deruga does not know that Magda is Markowski's lover. The girl kills the factory director out of hate. She will be the first person to be charged by the prosecutor on Monday.
