A crime drama based on a true story. Two friends from jail carry out a plan supposed to enable them to start a new life in the West. The consequences are tragic.

Janusz is released from jail after serving a four-year robbery sentence. It turns out that he has nothing to return to. Rejected by his father and former girlfriend, he turns to criminal circles for help. Together will cellmate Marek, he decides to execute a plan they hatched back in jail. They intend to rob hard currency shops and escape abroad. To that end, they steal a car and hunting rifles. Janusz kills a policeman who crosses their path. Consequently, he and Marek become the target of a manhunt. The two men steal another car and escape through the woods. Another policeman gets killed. The criminals continue their getaway on foot. After making it to the seacoast, they rob a fisherman of his boat and take to the sea. Shortly afterwards, they spot a police helicopter coming after them.
