In the last days of World War II, the crew of an allied weather station on Greenland receives strange messages. Polish commander Sikora decides to find out where they are come from. While on patrol, he is captured by the Germans, who have set up a secret base nearby. The Nazis destroy the weather station and murder its crew. Meanwhile, Sikora manages to free himself and take oberleutnant Weber captive. In the face of danger from the enemy, the Pole sets out on a long and perilous journey with his prisoner. Extreme conditions, dangerous wildlife and unstable weather force the two die-hard enemies to cooperate and fight for survival together.
