A detailed biopic of Marie Skłodowska-Curie, which apart from focusing on her immense scientific accomplishments and fundamental discoveries portrays her as a person having great love for her closest ones and her real motherland - Poland.

Little Marie is an exceptionally gifted child. At the age of four, she can already read. During the time of partitions of Poland, girls were not allowed to get an education. Therefore, Marie's parents  send her older sister Bronisława to Paris, with Marie also forced to follow in her footsteps. After graduating from Sorbonne, she is denied the opportunity to start working at the Jagiellonian University due to being a woman. Her research work and impressive discoveries, which she began and continued in France, win her two Nobel Prizes. Marie dies of malignant anemia resulting from long-term exposure to radioactive materials.
