1976   >   psychological/ drama

The film focuses on the matters of life and death as an analysis of suicide in terms of ethics. It poses the controversial question of justifying such an act for higher purposes. The film is made to look like a para-documentary, with the plot developing in authentic, extremely realistic scenery.

Ryszard Bielczyk is a professional artistic event organizer. He leads a very instable life. His only point of reference and authority figure is his older brother, a boxing coach. Nonetheless, they live detached from each other with no particular emotional bonds. The situations quickly changes when it turns out the brother has an incurable disease. Ryszard decides he’ll do anything he can to help him. Heartbroken by the brutal awareness of the unavoidable,  Ryszard’s brother, who endures physical suffering, loses the will to fight and decides to commit suicide. Ryszard understands his choice and won’t stand in his way. After determining the circumstances of his death, the police launch an investigation accusing him of murder.
