An adaptation of the novel “Kłamczucha”, which is a part of the “Jeżycjada” cycle by Małgorzata Musierowicz that has been largely popular with a few generations of readers and is continued up till now.

A film full of humor and discrete moralism addressed primarily to teenagers that tells a story about coming of age, responsibility for one’s actions and the clash between dreams and reality.

Aniela Kowalik, a teenager with a wild imagination and vivid temperament falls in love with an attractive holiday maker – Pawełek. To get closer to him the girl starts education in far-away Poznań. To reach her goal, she does not hesitate to lie, cheat and abuse other people. As a result of a comic coincidence she becomes house help at Pawełek’s house, pretending to be a not-very-bring Franciszka Wyrobek who has really bad taste in clothes. Gradually Aniela realizes that she was just a fleeting romance for his “prince”. At the same time she gets to know the value of family ties, work and friendship and decides to fulfill her dreams on a theatrical stage.
