Krakow, the beginning of the 19th century. The members of the Bachelors Club stand against the institution of marriage, arousing outrage in local women. The men happily accept the return of Jan Piorunowicz into their ranks - the "prodigal son", who a year after the wedding abandoned his wife. The appearance of the beautiful Jadwiga causes confusion among the bachelors. The whole group goes to Krynica, where it turns out that it was Jadwiga who dumped her spouse Piorunowicz. After a series of comical events, almost all the characters marry and the Bachelors Club loses its reason to exist.
The songs performed by the actors themselves are noteworthy. Only Lidia Korsakówna was dubbed in the vocal parts by Irena Santor as well as Pola Raksa.
