Influenz

(Hiszpanka)

2015   >   SPIRITUAL THRILLER/ war/ drama

A high-budget production with exquisite costumes and scenography. International cast.
Its aesthetics makes “Influenz” resemble German expressionism.

The film is set at the turn of 1918/1919.

“Influenz” is innovatively yet with a large distance wrapped around the events associated with the Wielkopolska Uprising and the dramatic circumstances of the arrival of the world-renowned pianist Ignacy Jan Paderewski to Poznań, which actually triggered the victorious uprising.

In “Influenz” we see both real and fictional characters. Clairvoyants are to save the master from dying at the hands of the demonic Doctor Abuse, sent by the hostile forces.

Stunning special effects take the viewers on an incredible journey in another dimension, abounding in plenty of adventures.

The insurgents do not want the new Poland’s foundations to be blood and vengeance. They dream about a Polish flag that would not be associated with martyrdom but with “strawberries with cream”. Welfare and happiness, freedom to rejoice.
