A mix of short films Jerzy Skolimowski made at the Łódź Film School.

Andrzej abandons his girlfriend and stands before the draft commission. He requests to be drafted in order to learn adult life. He wastes time left before his departure in a disorderly struggle, a clumsily trying to straighten out his life. He randomly encounters Barbara, who he sees as the woman he always waited for...

The first part of the trilogy describing the life of a generation coming to age. People sensitive lost in the modern world, looking desperately for an escape from hopeless and pointless every-day reality. With French new wave narrative and acting style Jerzy Skolimowski manifests distinct autobiographical accents – a novelty  in Polish cinema.
