A light comedy that highlights the absurdities and paradoxes related to housing issues for young Varsovians presenting funny ways to obtain a much sought after M-3 apartment. Bogumił Kobiela plays the lead role.

The young doctor Tomasz Piechocki lives with his bossy mother. He can’t wait to get his own allotted apartment, but the infallible government knows best who deserves one and what size. The desired dimensions require having a wife and Piechocki has 30 days to find one. He decides to marry Agnieszka, the daughter of the hospital director . Unfortunately it turns out she doesn’t know how to cook. Kasia from the pharmacy is the second potential candidate, but she expects her future husband to quit smoking the pipe and wants him to wear a bow tie instead of a tie. Tomasz discovers this is an attempt to make him more like her previous husband. Disappointed, he meets another candidate at the tennis court – Marta. She’s surprisingly jealous and keeps following him around and suspecting him of meeting other women.  Time flies relentlessly and Tomasz, in despair, decides to organize a fictitious marriage with his friend. He can’t make in time for the wedding ceremony to the registry office because the elevator breaks down. His friend refuses to forgive him and backs out. Meanwhile a female patient from Tomasz’s hospital has bandages removed from her face. To his surprise, she’s beautiful. Tomasz and Barbara get married. Once everything seems to be going on the right track to getting the dream apartment, another unfortunate event occurs. The apartment turns out to have been allotted to the engineer Tadeusz Piechocki  - Tomasz was never really supposed to get it, the allotment was a mistake.
