Magdalena Nowak, a pianist visits Germany to perform. Sightseeing in the town where she stayed during the war a slave labor she is overwhelmed by memories. Images of good Germans interlace with Nazi’s. It turns out that Wenk, who helped the laborers is now accused. She returns to Poland disappointed.
