The script explores the themes and ideas from Krystyna Boglar’s novel “Nie głaskać kota pod włos”.

The excellent cast which next to the actors in leading roles includes such artists as Jan Himilsbach or Wojciech Młynarski. The screen debut of Agata Młynarska, nowadays a well-known TV presenter, in the role of Agnieszka.

The music for the film was composed by Czesław Niemen. The song “Wesołego powszedniego dnia” with the lyrics by Wojciech Młynarski turned into a popular hit.

A story of the Leśniewski family of six, forced to change their life habits when the mother decides to go back to university.

The Leśniewski family, a mother, father and four children, move into a new apartment. Their life is peaceful and quiet until they learn that the mother dreams of finishing her studies, once interrupted when she got pregnant. The family decides to help. To this end, the children take over part of the house chores and try to become independent. This leads to a number of amusing, albeit sometimes difficult, situations. The characters do not only grow up, but they also learn how to function in society, appreciating the value of family and friends.
