An adventure film for teens about a group of friends who are fascinated by the sea and sailing. They share a strong bond with their captain and their ship.

The trusty schooner Nadzieja help a group of kids learn the secrets of sailing. Captain Angełow’s ship is a place where they learn responsibility, discipline and solidarity. Unfortunately the port authority decides to scrap it sending the captain into retirement. Angełow gets a heart attack and is hospitalized. The kids decide to save the ship. They hijack the vessel with Jurek as their leader. A criminal is hiding on the lower deck looking for a precious antique icon stolen from the monastery. He finds it damaging the boat in the process – water begins pouring in. He runs away from the hospital to help the small sailors. He gives them tips by radio on how to fix the leak. The crew incapacitates the criminal, a rescue helicopter appears. Angełow gets another heart attack. He asks to be brought aboard the hope. The repaired ship is named after him.
